LOG 63

What a long haul it has been! As we decided that instead of buying a new dingy, our third one, we were gonna make one and so we set to designing it... planning and laughing about it till we made a commitment and John cut the old dingy up! Taking off at least 30 kgs of inside!!! Then we bought all the foam... which was  jammed up on Justines bunk!! Our saloon, cabins and cockpit have been barely functioning as a livable area!!

John constructed and shaped the foam pieces while Jono gave him a hand at sanding, and cutting... then we left Panang, and headed for Rebak, as in Thailand we were supposed to continue and finish our dingy, I bumped my head and so John took the time for us to relax and enjoy till we got to Rebak.... then the real work started as we had to glue the formed pieced together with glass then join it to the base of our boat, and so it went... itchy, itchy, itchy!!!

Yet what a wonderful feeling working so hard after not working for about four years now!! This was more work than we anticipated though that is becoming a pattern for John and I!

Take on projects that really bend you and pull you around through the bushes backwards yet we hang on, not wanting to stop as the challenge is just too great until the task is finished!!

And so our days continued, getting up early... off to the shed, somedays with the kids others without the kids while they did school... and working, cutting glass,. squeeging the glass on, painting, and, and, and..... the relief to see our flask being used full time so we could drink coffee almost permanently was such a blessing!!

We took off work on Thursday for Johns birthday and spoilt him! Made a cake and cupcakes and had more sweets than we have had in like three years!!! All in all it was a wonderful day!

The kids have worked just as hard, and were always willing to get their hands dirty which was most of the time!! Justine made the mixes, more than she can count! Jono helped with the glassing, holding, getting what else was needed, I cut the glass,. John glassed and Jess made coffee!! Then with all the practice Justine became an expert at mixing epoxy!!! And of course I with the painting though I did get more in my hair than on the boat!

Unfortunately, the heat from the mixes putting the glass on softenend the foam and so we have a patchy looking wrinkled gorgious looking miniture Bluemoon!!

We finished her and launched her yesterday... the 25th of May.

For some reason I have had a problem uploading pics on the site and so will continue to try and upload our amazing looking dingy!! Any orders???? heheh

Now we still have the swim ladder to sort out, our solar panel inverter fried from a bolt of lightening!!! And so the list goes on and on and on.....!!

Yet we are all back on track today with school, relaxing, getting our strength back so we can continue with the tasks ahead....

All have been concerned about dengue fever spreading as there was an outbreak and we saw them spraying the Marina surrounds as this place is a breeding cove for mosquitoes!! And like I said before, they ARE the size ofr flies!!!!!

Well guys....  John and I and the kids look forward to your comments in the guestbook and the emails to keep us up to date on the news....

Till the next lot of news, God Bless, and keep those chins up!! Living life to the full!!

Love John, Jenny, Justine, Jessica and Jonathan
